Hen Party Night Games

Hen Party Night Games

Introduction

A hen party, hen’s night, or bachelorette party can be referred to as the party organized for the woman who intends to gat married as A Rite of Passage. It is better known as ‘The Last Night of Freedom!’ The word ‘hen’s night’ or ‘hen party’ is prevalent in UK. In other countries where English is an official language, the above term is known as ‘kitchen tea’, ‘girl’s night out’, or ‘stagette’.

Usually, females are only permitted to attend the Hen Party. If the party is organized at home, pamper party is held. Comparing of products such as lingerie, and sex toys (of women) can also take place. The games played include ‘Truth or Dare’, risk version of ‘Consequences’, and ‘Pass the Balloon’. Let some light be thrown on two of these games.

‘Truth or Dare’

This can be described as a Party game that requires at least 2 players. The rules can be described as follows: The game gets started by one player asking the other player. The question asked is, “Truth or Dare?” If the asked player happens to answer “Truth”, the asking player usually asks a question that embarrasses him (asked player). If “Dare” is answered by the asked player, the asking player tells the asked one to perform something, which proves to be embarrassing as well. After having answered the question or performing the Dare, the asked player asks “Truth or Dare?” to the asking player. In this way, the game proceeds further.

This game can be played by spinning an unfilled bottle and asking “Truth or Dare?” to the woman at whom bottle points as well. The other version is ‘Truth, Dare, Double Dare, Opinion, or Promise’. Double Dare can be said to be a more embarrassing or complex kind of dare. It could be played wherein both, the dare receiver and dare giver do the dare. Promise comes into picture when a particular object or person to whom it is made is not available. If opinion is chosen by the player, he has to give opinion about some weird facts.

Consequences

‘Consequences’ is quite similar to Mad Libs or Surrealist Game Exquisite Corpse. Here, every person has to take turn in choosing one word for any one of the 6 questions in the following order: adjective for man, name of the man, adjective for woman, name of the woman, name of the place, ‘He said to her……..’, ‘She said to him……..’, ‘He gave her…..’, ‘She gave him….’, ‘The consequence was……’ (An explanation of what unfolded after), and an outcome.

After all these steps, there is a story read out. For instance- Frightening Michael Jackson happened to meet voluptuous Buffy (the Vamprie Slayer). Zoo was the place of meet. He commented, “You’re delicious”. She commented, “Hit me 1 more time baby.” He gifted a red colored rose to her. She gifted him cholera. Consequently, they fled to Mexico. “Lovely” was the comment of the world. It is customarily played by having the words written on paper. Its folding is then carried out for hiding the preceding words prior to having it passed to the subsequent player.
